Class 1 Men (198lbs): With practically no prior preparation or training for this unexpected participation, Ahmed Abukhater benched 479.5lbs in the Class 1 Men division, winning first place setting new national records for Palestine. He also earned the best lifter in his division.
Open Men/Elite (198lbs): Ahmed Abukhater benched 479.5lbs and had a very close attempt at 502lbs. with his big lift he placed first, shattering his old records and setting a brand new Palestinian national record.
